Mrs Spain is buried in Bastrop after the storm tore through Morehouse parish and into Tennessee. The wreckage included a destroyed home, a sycamore struck body, cattle washed into Bayou Bartholomew, and six mules dead. A negro cabin was lifted away with seven occupants unharmed.
