Mid shipman J A Smith of the U S Naval Academy was killed and five other cadets injured in an auto train collision near Wrens Georgia while en route to Albany for Christmas. The crash happened at a crossing about 6 30 a m as the cadets’ car struck a freight train on the Savannah and Atlanta railroad. Witnesses could not identify the driver.
