Hidden gun nest investigation links fatal six hour earlier shooting
Chicago police traced a concealed gun nest in a Rogers Park apartment after a man and a woman were wounded in a six hour earlier shooting. Mrs Henrietta Guthrie 54 and E W Stone were struck as they met outside their homes. Guthrie one shot Stone two shots. They were hospitalized with minor injuries. The incident followed Mrs Guthrie leaving her home for a shopping trip. Stone had just exited his car when the gunfire began. Four shots were fired. Convict Crackdown After Kidnapping Warden and Son
In Phoenix Arizona on December 23 Ray mond Stickler a 23 year old convict held after kidnapping the state prison warden and his four year old son in a Chandler style escape. Stickler escaped from Florence penitentiary yesterday by a ruse and was captured last night in Phoenix. The prisoner was serving a 10 year to life sentence for robbery and had been asked to line a coat for Warden Lorenzo Wright. He concealed lining material to gain permission to accompany Wright and his son, then abducted them.
