Secretary Vance carried a Carter message to King Khaled and Morocco urged an Arab summit to review the Cairo talks. The Mena House meeting was convened by Sadat following his Jerusalem visit.
Senate conferees dropped a 250 tax credit for college tuition paving the way for final action on a major Social Security bill. Sen. Long persuaded Sen. Roth to postpone the credit until next year as Carter administration and House leaders balked at it.
