Alighting From Bus Two Men Struck By Auto
W L Luton and John Holt were hit by a northbound car as they stepped from behind a bus near Fondale on the Columbia highway. Luton suffered a broken leg and head injuries. Holt had both legs crushed, one requiring amputation below the knee, and head injuries. They were taken to St Francis sanitarium. The driver, C S Johnson, stopped and aided them and is being questioned by Sheriff Milton Coverdale. No charges filed yet.
