Wilhelm Tell at New Glarus Lights Weekend Fest

Weekend festival in New Glarus centers on the 29th annual Wilhelm Tell performance at 1 p m today and tomorrow with English and German showings. Franz Gmur Hurt in Mishap Near Monroe

Franz Gmur 61 a Duncan Hill cheese maker fell from a truck loaded with cheese on Highway 81 ten miles northwest of Monroe. He suffered a compound finger fracture and hand lacerations before being taken to St. Clare Hospital in good condition. Deputies investigated possible load shift or slick road conditions after the crash.

Guardsmen to Oversee Cicero March in Civil Rights Tensions

On request of City 2,000 guardsmen slated to oversee a Sun rally in Cicero Illinois where civil rights protesters and American Nazis plan a gathering. Governor Kerner activated guardsmen with local police to protect 400 to 600 anticipated open housing marchers amid past riots.

Schadewald Succumbs at 64 in Juda Township Home

Arthur Schadewald, 64, lifelong resident of Juda Township, died unexpectedly from a heart attack at 5:90 am. He was born Feb 11 1902, married Ida Maass Oct 13 1924, and was a member of Juda EUB Church. Surviving are his widow and three sisters. funeral at Juda EUB Church Tuesday with burial in Mt Vernon Cemetery.
