It features cherry wood paneling, shake shingle canopies, bright blue and appliance red walls, amber glass lights, and a fourfold larger display area. Costs and Waste Highlight Job Corps Center in California

A GAO confidential report cites high costs rising from 12.8 million to 25.5 million at the Parks Job Corps Center in Pleasanton California. It also notes a 55 percent dropout rate and only 8 percent placed in relevant jobs, with 93 enrollees facing dismissal for disciplinary issues in a 60 day window. The center, operated by Little Systems Inc., opened early 1965 on a former military base southeast of San Francisco.
