The weekend crashes raised Wisconsin 1971 traffic fatalities to 924. Arrick 18 of rural Spring died near Oconto Falls in a two car collision. In a weekend hearing in St. Croix Falls Wisconsin nearly all of about 30 witnesses urged designating the lower St. Croix River as part of the National Wild and Scenic River system. One twin had died shortly after birth amid Jehovah’s Witness mother’s religious objection to blood transfusion at St Mary’s Hospital following a premature triplet birth that produced three babies.
