Two Escapees Freedom Ends
Two men Felix Rangel and Leland Stebbins, the first to escape Wisconsin State Reformatory in nine years, were captured in a field seven miles from the prison. Rangel, 30, Dallas Texas, and Stebbins, 34, Pardeeville, had hidden near a cave after escaping Monday. Rangel suffered chest and leg injuries from a fall while crawling down a wall. he was jailed for 15 years for attempted murder, Stebbins for four years for burglary and theft.
