Two Women Injured In Bath Street Accident
Police report a city crash at 1:37 p.m. on Bath Street injuring two Madison women, Betty L. Fosshage and June L. Heller, with head and knee lacerations. They were treated at St. Clare Hospital and released. A Monroe driver’s car struck a low hanging wire, causing minor damage. Another Monroe driver’s vehicle left a ditch after a sun visor malfunction. no injuries reported.

Albany Board Weighs Land Options and Funds for New Lagoon

A rural Stephenson County couple, Robert and Wilma Wenger, were robbed at gunpoint by two or three armed men who bound them with cords, stole about 100 dollars, eight shotguns, and Wenger’s watch, and fled in an unseen car.
