College Night At Monroe High Will Feature Many Schools
Monroe High School will host a College Night on Monday at 7 30 p m in the lecture hall with three half hour sessions where students and parents choose three schools to hear from. The program ends at 9 30 p m with optional extra time to ask questions. Representatives from Beloit College Carroll College Carthage College Cornell College Elmhurst College Lakeland College Lawrence University Luther College Madison Academy of Beauty Culture Madison Business College Madison General Hospital School of Nursing Madison Vocational Technical and Adult Schools Milton College Milwaukee School of Engineering North Central College Ripon College Rockford School of Business and Engineering Spencerian College University of Wisconsin and the state universities at LaCrosse Platteville and Whitewater plus Stout State University will attend. Armed forces recruiters and Major George Wells will discuss opportunities in the services ROTC programs and military academies. The event aims to inform juniors seniors and parents about higher education options and careers.

Three Injured In Area Mishap Near Albany
A two car head on collision at the county line near Albany left three people injured. A Phillip Webb 26 suffered neck injuries and facial bruises and is in satisfactory condition at St. Clare Hospital. Emmanuel Whitledge 39 of Brodhead has a fractured knee cap and nose with multiple bruises and is in fair condition. Donald Marshall near Beloit sustained a fractured left thigh and knee cap scalp laceration and other injuries and is in fair condition. Webb drove the other car. both cars were heavily damaged and sheriff deputies from Rock and Green counties investigated.

Hog Cholera Outbreak Noted in Du Rand Ill Farm
The first hog cholera outbreak in 18 months killed 16 of 195 home raised pigs on a large farm in the Du Rand area. 650 hogs on the farm were vaccinated and unaffected. State records show 55 confirmed hog cholera cases in the first nine months, with Winnebago County reporting three outbreaks in 1964 and earlier years.
