The move places the entire radio division in Dixon with a temporary third floor space and a planned new 1 million dollar plant within a year. Johnson undergoes gall bladder surgery in two hour operation

Jeffry Lloyd Miller seven year old son of Charles and Anita Miller died after slipping under a Monroe school bus at Monroe High School parking lot. Night School Enrollment Nears 400 As Classes Open
Nearly 400 people registered for Vocational and Adult School courses this year announced director Leo Sebald. Some classes are full or waitlisted while others remain open for enrollment with first sessions starting Tuesday and Thursday October 12 and 14 at the high school. French and electronics are canceled for lack of interest. Some under-enrolled courses will try to begin to attract students. Refunds are offered for canceled classes with option to switch into openings.

Father Sees Son Killed by Speeding Car
New York Police Sgt. William Hofaker on patrol in Brooklyn witnessed a speeding car strike a 13 year old boy and drag his body six blocks before it was thrown loose. The victim wore new skating boots and was later identified as Hofaker’s son Robert. The white compact car involved fled the scene.
