Mishap Claims Life of Stephen Shippy at West McConnell Road
Stephen Shippy age 19 of Orangeville died from crushing head injuries after a one car crash on West McConnell Road three fourths mile west of Buena Vista. He was thrown from the vehicle and died on arrival at Freeport Memorial Hospital. He worked at Micro Switch in Freeport. Survivors include his father and stepmother. a sister and stepmother. two additional sisters. His mother died in March 1954. Cramer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Injured Woman From Janesville Admitted After Crash
Mrs. Norman Gunderson aged 33 of Route 5 Janesville was hospitalized at St. Clare Hospital after an auto accident yesterday evening. Her car lost control and struck a bridge, causing contusions and lacerations. She is reported in satisfactory condition today.
