Alice Contest to Select Four Dairyland Princesses Tomorrow

Area teenagers Hurt in Accident Near Brooklyn
Two rural Brodhead teens were seriously injured in an early morning accident five miles southwest of Brooklyn. Walter M. Bruce 19 and Robert Glen Heron 17 were taken to St. Clare hospital by Belleville ambulance after a tire blowout caused the car to lose control. Heron suffered a thigh fracture and head injuries while Bruce had lacerations and chest injuries. The county’s Memorial Day parade was briefly interrupted by the ambulance en route to Monroe.
