Hanson Recalled as Monroe Assemblies of God Pastor

Rev. Gilman A. Hanson is recalled as pastor of the Monroe Assemblies of God Church arriving Friday and preaching May 16. Mrs. Hanson and daughter Bonnie, a nurse, will join him from Corona California. Hanson previously led Monroe 1962 1964 and served in California building a church in San Jacinto and as Home Missions secretary. The installation is planned for May 30 conducted by Lyle Curtis. Monroe Council Approves Multiple Bids and Funds

The Monroe City Council, in a brief session Tuesday, approved bids from Rees Construction Co for crushed rock 28 550, Monroe Ready Mix for storm sewer 17 431 90, F P & T Co for curb and gutter 24 382, and William J Kennedy and Sons for bituminous paying 36 900, the lowest bids in each case.
