Assault Hearing Postponed Again in Deininger Case
The assault case against 34 year old August Broge, charged with aggravated assault over the May 7 attack on Sheriff Wilbur E. Deininger, was rescheduled to 2 p.m. Monday May 25 after defense requests due to the sheriff’s unavailability. Deininger remains hospitalized at St. Clare with a severe concussion and ruptured artery from the incident at the jail. Broge was being released from jail for good behavior after nine months of a one year Huber Law sentence for a bad check charge.
