Noah Kramer, 4, of Route 2 Belleville, was admitted to St. Clare Hospital after being knocked down and run over by a team of horses and wagon suffering a concussion and scalp wound. His condition improved. Also injured were 16 year old Robert Lewis in a Skinner Creek Bottoms crash and Judith Wright 19 of Oregon with Isabelle Weight 59 injured as the car careened off County Trunk 8.

The late Mr and Mrs Fred Roth residence at 1508 9th Street is being razed as part of Monroe Clinic expansion. Deputies investigate two burglaries in the county. The Swiss Maid Cheese and Sausage Shop at Highways 69 and 39 on the east edge of New Glarus was entered overnight through a rear door. In Albany, the Green County Farm Bureau Warehouse also reported a break-in the day before. Amounts between 50 and 100 dollars were taken from the Co-op cash drawer. New Glarus loss inventory not yet completed.
The St. Clare Hospital maternity ward reported a busy day with four baby girls and one boy born. Daughters arrived May 12 to the Nobles of Shullsburg Baumgartners of Monroe Mittlers of Monticello and Krattigers of Beloit. The lone boy was born to the Hills of South Beloit.
