Lincoln first graders stage a neighborhood circus

Lincoln School first grade pupils staged a circus in the Lincoln gymnasium with mothers in attendance and students from kindergarten through sixth grade as audiences. Acts included a two headed lady, Koko the Clown, a tightrope walker, strong man, tiger and lion acts, and a riot in rhythm by the Jolly Rodgers Crew.

Madison Wisconsin cheddar cheese market held steady with unchanged prices per the Agricultural Marketing service. Demand was fair and supplies ample to excessive as American cheese production for the week ending May 4 rose about 1 percent to 28.9 million pounds. Wisconsin Swiss prices remained steady on top grades while lower grades stayed unsettled and supply grades A and B were limited.
