Expansion Planned for New Glarus Home for the Aged
The New Glarus Home for the Aged will begin a two story wing this summer adding 44 beds to reach 90 residents. The $220000 project includes private and semiprivate rooms, a large living area, physical therapy, bathing facilities, and a nurse’s station. The Benevolent Corporation of the United Church of Christ operates the home and is also completing a 100 bed Cedar Lake Home in West Bend. Administrative members include Richard Wichler and Rev J Allan Mittler among others from Madison Monticello Verona and Albany.

Bids for furniture and furnishings for the Pleasant View Nursing Home under construction at Green County Hospital were opened yesterday at 1 30 p m in the Circuit Court Room. About 25 bidders offered items for waiting rooms offices and other spaces with an estimated total cost of 50 000 to 60 000.
