1899 UW short course graduate recalls life progress

Arthur Andrews 90, one of the state’s oldest Holstein dairymen and a UW short course alumnus from the class of 1899, plans a birthday with fishing for his 50th trout of the season and helping grandson with haying on the 270 acre farm near South Wayne. His son-in-law Edward Saalson and John Saalsan run the place. a Sunday party is planned from 2 to 5 p.m. on July 16 with relatives attending.

Two Cars Damaged In County Collision

Marvin A. DeRemer of Route 2 Madison and Jacob Voegeli of Monticello were in a collision at 12 40 p m yesterday one half mile west of Monticello at the Highways 69 39 intersection. DeRemer’s car had right front end damage while Voegeli’s suffered rear door and front end damage. Voegeli possibly sustained a neck injury.
