United Fund of Monroe Inc elected three new directors at its annual meeting in the First National Bank room. New directors are Mrs Byron R Bennett R Finley Barry and Richard H Bahr. A special meeting at 5 p m next Monday will elect officers. J T Duke Etter Jr presided as president and is among three retiring directors with Edward M Adam and Mrs Neva Gnagi. Etter noted agencies received 95 percent of the original budget and the 1963 drive missed its goal by five percent.

AT&T Sets $100 Bargain Price for Stock Offering

Voyager Destroyer Collision Triggers Australian Inquiry

Prime Minister Robert Menzies ordered a public inquiry into the sinking of Australia's first pushbutton destroyer Voyager after a collision with the Melbourne. About 85 crew members are missing from the 3500-ton ship. 239 rescued, nine officers among the missing. The Melbourne, flagship, sustained damage but proceeded to Sydney with no reported casualties.
