Roads are impassable in many areas as crews work through the night and into today to reach trapped motorists and reopen routes. Deputies Leslie Schwitz and John Burkhamer rescued Mrs Wand from a snow bank on Highway 69 at 5 30 this morning. She gave birth to an eight pound five ounce boy at 11 45 in St Clare hospital. The Wand family of Dakota later joined by their five children arrived in Monroe. A snow plow led the way with Walter Tertin and Ralph Erb driving.
