Moose Members Asked to Help Clear Brush at New Zander’s Lake
The Monroe Moose Lodge urged members to join Green County Conservation League in clearing and burning brush in the basin of New Zander’s Lake near Brown town this weekend. Lodge governor Clifford Prien announced the effort at this week’s Moose meeting, with a report from membership chairman Jack Marty noting a December 15 deadline to meet membership quotas. Volunteers with chain saws and axes are to work Saturday and Sunday to complete the project by the weekend.

Five Women Die In 3 Car Mishap
Five women were killed in a three car crash with a semi trailer at the Illinois Wisconsin border town intersection of Illinois 51 and 75.
