Cheese Days Hospitality House plan outlined at Green County Chest meeting
Green County Agricultural Chest directors approved a two day hospitality house for Cheese Days on Sept 16 17 to showcase dairy industry and cheese samples. The project budget targets 500 dollars with 300 for cheese samples and 100 for building rental at the Monroe Agricultural Building. 4H booths, dairy queen film shows and food demonstrations are planned with volunteer help emphasized.

Mrs. Alice E. Eggers 73 Milwaukee native of Judo area dies Monday morning Aug 28 from a heart attack. She is survived by two sons Robert and Jack Holman, two sisters Lena Deininger and Alma Schroe der, and three grandchildren. Services will be held Aug 29 at 11 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home Milwaukee. Burial Valhalla Cemetery. Husband Wade Eggers died in Nov 1950.

Sixty six members attended the Monroe Lions Club dinner at Swiss Wheel Restaurant where Edward Zwicker recounted his South America hunting expedition with his wife and Dr. and Mrs. Donald Springer. Zwicker showed color slides including an ocelot and jaguar Simba sent to Africa. A float for Cheese Day parade was set up with Harold Rufenacht as chair and plans to aid two local children with eye surgery costing 275 each. Guests Rev. Larry Pinnow and Kenneth Stuart attended.
