The Monroe Jaycees announce a citywide survey starting Monday August 14 with home delivery and a pickup window August 16 and 17. Families are urged to complete yes no and multiple choice sections and open ended remarks to reflect attitudes on local issues. Results will be reported to public offices and service groups to spur action where opinion is strong.

Eva Mazetta fifteen of Rome Italy arrives tonight as Monroe's fifth American Field Service exchange student. She will live with the Sherman Hodgsons at 1766 Lake Drive and was to arrive by ship but flew to New York. The Hodgsons will meet her at 6 30 at Trailway Bus Depot. Vandals set fire to vacant houses on Milwaukee near west side Friday.

Area Entries Win State Fair Honors at Wisconsin Event
Green County exhibitors shined during the opening of the 117th Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis. Richard Sullivan and the Allen brothers swept Southdown judging with multiple blue ribbons and the champion ram. Other breed wins included Holsteins and Brown Swiss entries with top bulls and cows named. Attendance hit 43,024 by Friday night as prices climbed with beef at record highs led by Gov. Knowles presence and the grand champion Black Angus steer Mr Terrific selling for 4.75 a pound.
