Dr Stephen Ward Near Death After Overdose and Pneumonia
London surgeon Stephen Ward worsened as he failed to respond to treatment for an overdose and bronchial pneumonia. He has been in a coma since Wednesday, following his conviction for living off earnings of prostitutes. Julie Gulliver, his companion during the trial, claimed supporters hope he dies to avoid exposure. Ward’s condition included a temporary cessation of breathing and a ventilator assisting his airway.

Witt Sisters Sweep Junior Fair Beef Honors
The Witt sisters of Dutch Hollow captured grand champion and reserve champion steer in the Junior Fair beef show. Karen Witt, 12, won the grand champion with a Hereford junior yearling, Beverly Witt, 16, earned reserve with an Angus summer yearling. Both are Dutch Hollow 4-H members. Early today a small tornado two miles west of Monticello damaged the Emil Rufener farm blowing down eight trees and overturning an elevator. Damages extended to Crooks farm hay rack and nearby storms caused barn fires and wind driven destruction across multiple counties.
