A coroner report says Theo dore J Iverson a 40 year old Rockford vacuum cleaner salesman died likely from a deep blow to the head. His body was found in the Rock River eight miles south of the Winnebago Ogle County line by two fishermen. Deputies from both counties probe the disappearance noted Iverson had been missing since March 21 and his car was found in Rockford on March 23.
New Delhi reports that prime minister Nehru said thousands of Tibetan refugees entered India after the Dalai Lama fled Chinese rule. The statement framed asylum as a humanitarian response amid ongoing regional tensions.
An appreciative church crowd attended Beloit College a cappella choir in First Methodist church sponsored by Alpha Zeta chapter Epsilon Sigma Alpha of Monroe. New York television star Arthur Godfrey prepared to enter a hospital today for an operation on a chest tumor. He said his only fear is becoming an invalid and losing his ability to swim or fly again. Doctors have not determined if the tumor is cancerous.
President Eisenhower and Secretary Herter expressed disappointment at Moscow’s cool reception of the first stage nuclear test ban proposal. Hagerty relayed that Khrushchev replied by saying the plan offers no solution and implies the United States does not want a complete ban. The leaders discussed Paris talks and Khrushchev’s weekend letter.

A flashing object believed to be the American satellite Discoverer II crashed to earth Saturday night near Richmond, about 70 miles west of Durban. The impact roared through the area and lit the sky as if by daylight, shaking houses for miles.
In Poplarville Mississippi Circuit Court Judge Sebe Dale denounced the drag chain abduction of Mack Charles Parker a 23 year old Black truck driver as a flood of hate. Parker was snatched from Pearl River County jail prompting a large FBI led search across Mississippi and Louisiana. The trial was delayed as prosecutors said no defendant remained.
An Irish airliner returning 63 crippled and retarded American children from Lourdes lost one engine over the Atlantic but landed safely at Gander. Aboard were Richard Cardinal Cushing of Boston 17 nuns and 11 other adults. Fourteen children are pupils at St. Coletta's in Jefferson Wisconsin.
