Weatherly Guilty of Misconduct and Dismissed
Madison police chief Bruce Weatherly was found guilty of three of five charges and removed from office by the Police and Fire Commission in a 4-1 vote. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 8 accident and included drinking on duty driving while intoxicated and using a city car unofficially. The dismissed charges covered suppression of evidence and an alleged attempt to have a bar man destroy a bar bill. Weatherly, in office nine years after moving from San Antonio, will appeal to circuit court.

Annual Turner Exhibition Held
