Senator John Tower urges Texans who sought help from his staff on Postal Service, Commerce, or Housing matters to recontact him after an early morning blaze gutted his Lubbock office on September 14. Chris Steed says many case files were lost. inquiries should go to the temporary address at Federal Building, 1205 Texas Avenue, Room 124. Fire department responded to a garage fire at 6:48 p.m. at 1208 South Murray and put it out within minutes.
