Tower lauds EPA bid to review predator poison ban
Senator John Tower praised the EPA for moving toward a review of the chemical predator control ban and said the White House shares his concerns about rancher losses. Administrator Anne Gorsuch announced a public hearing next month to prepare the review while Interior will reassess the Animal Damage Control Program. Tower called the steps an important first move toward aiding Texas ranchers facing predator losses, notably sheep and goats. Navy Seaman Apprentice Mark Roberts, son of local residents, returned from a deployment aboard USS Midway in the Indian Ocean, detailing a lengthy cruise with training exercises and a large crew and aircraft complement.
