Objectors to Draft Sent to Board of Inquiry
Only 600 objectors out of 1,300,000 are reported in a draft review. Secretary Baker says the number will drop further after a board of inquiry, led by Judge Mack, Dean Stone, and a major from the advocate general’s office, examines each case. If sincerity is confirmed, objectors may be furloughed to farm labor at private pay.
