Regular adjourned session of county commissioners

Dakota Central Telephone and Mitchell Power discussed a franchise for a power line to the county. no action taken. Bills were approved and salaries set including Deputy County Auditor at $110 per month. Afternoon session approved various orders and refunds. The board adjourned sine die at Mitchell South Dakota on September 47 1917.

Minnie Kremer of White Lake died at her mother's home 615 North Rowley Mitchell County after acute lymphatic trouble. Remains shipped to White Lake for funeral and cemetery burial. Robert Sands, 31, died at his parents’ home in Tobin Township early Tuesday of chronic tuberculosis.

Sheriff Owens reported Mitchell police found W W Barnard s Overland stolen last week from his garage during the Corn Palace event. One of the car s occupants was arrested and will be returned to Mitchell with the vehicle. A Ford belonging to Rev Vincent of the Episcopal church was stolen or borrowed from in front of the rectory this morning and sheriff s cards urged a county wide lookout.
