Titanic disaster report sparks naval reform calls
The Senate adopted a resolution to award Captain Kostron the HSL 000 medal for Titanic rescue and blamed California’s Captain Lord for ignoring warnings. The report urged stricter navigation rules, wireless oversight, and greater American seafaring participation amid portraits of the tragedy and calls for stronger lifeboat and safety measures. In Cuba, Gen. Wstenez and Gen. Ivonez vow to continue the revolt until Morua law is repealed, with insurgents coordinating with planters and railways on war contributions.
