Court Rules No Jurisdiction In Ballot Fraud Contest

Saturday Judge Smith heard a petition by A. Fuagler of Farmer County against Edgerton township Hanson County and supervisors Fahrnan Steilen and Dunn seeking a recount of spring election ballots and liquor license sales. The defense argued no law grants such contest, ending the case. The ruling may affect a related city license suit, as jurisdiction remains disputed and a visiting judge may be required.
