Life sentence handed down in fatal Black Hills case
William Davidson, indicted with Mrs. Orlanda Giles of Butte County for the murder of Giles husband, was brought to the penitentiary to begin a life term. Giles, acquitted last week after a tense jury split, faced a judge who kept them for a verdict and denied food or water while the ten jurors pressed for conviction.
