Washington reports Fountsin L Thompson, recently named to the Senate from North Dakota, has resigned due to ill health. W E Purcell of Wahpeton is appointed his successor and sworn in. At the Northern Illinois poultry show in Belvidere Porter turkey was sold by Mrs. Walter Porter to E. H. Burns of Orient South Carolina for 500 dollars.
