State University Band Delivers Excellent Concert in Mitchell
The Vermillion State University band under Dr G W Collins toured the state and played at the Gale theatre in Mitchell on Tuesday evening. Though praised for its fine instrumental presentation and soloists McClung and Elmore, Waldemar von Gelich impressed with masterful violin selections, despite the lack of an accompanist for two pieces. The second part featured vocal solos by a double quartet and college songs, with the symphony band providing an amusing finish.
