Mrs. Alice Eagan aged about 60 died Sunday night February 25 at her Sulphur Springs home after a long residence in Marshall. She was active in the Marshall Christian church and W B M. Her remains were taken to Marshall for service and burial beside her first husband in Mt Olive cemetery. Attending kin and friends gathered from Boonville Dexter and Dover to mourn her loss.

They had six children four daughters two sons all listed with Saline County ties. He joined Christian Church at Christian Union October 15 1906 and died February 9 1912 at his home near Creacher at 4 50 am.

William 8 Ruckel died at home in DeWitt Monday night. Ex soldier and local political figure, he leaves two sons FE 8 Ruckel of Norborne and Henry Ruckel of Miami, plus a daughter Mrs Annie Gordon who died years ago. Wife Sarah died April 7, 1911. The couple married April 4 1654 in Baltimore before moving to Missouri. Henry attended the funeral held Wednesday. burial in Evergreen cemetery DeWitt.

Wesley Ward of Baline county lived five miles north of Sweet Springe and died aged 93 on February 10, 1912. Born a slave in Arاپah ament Virginia in 1814, he came to Missouri in 1640 with his owners. He married Hannah Garden during bondage. they had nine children, three predeceased him and his wife. After the Civil War he became free.
