Three Runaways Injure Child and Men in Sedalia Road Incident
Three Runaways Miss Dosie May Oster daughter of Chas Oster living near town on Sedalia road was seriously hurt Wednesday evening while trying to stop a runaway horse. The rig left on Arrow street. Oster went to South Salt Pond street. The horse ran that way and she ran into the street opposite J. J. Mitchell feed store to stop it, was knocked down and bruised. Dr. Hardin found no broken bones. she rests quietly. Al Brown and Emmett Page driving on South Salt Pond street turned a corner on Morgan street. Brown was thrown and cut on the head. J. J. Mitchell narrowly escaped injury while preventing a collision with the runaway. A collision on Salt Pond and Marion streets Monday shook Mr. and Mrs. Jos Scheister’s buggy. Robert Brown’s dray team involved, none hurt beyond a serious shaking.

Death by Lightning Hits Marshal Mules In Insured Loss

Costly Barn Fire Destroys Henry Jacoby’s Property
Henry Jacoby, located six miles south of town, had his new barn burn while at his parents in Marshall on Sunday morning. The blaze consumed the barn and its contents, including a fine horse, grain, hay, implements, and harness, totaling about 4000 dollars. Insurance covered 22000 dollars on the barn and grain.
