Saline honorably recalls John Wall a Mexican and Civil War veteran who died August 16 at Norton aged 80. Born January 18 1769 in Montgomery County Virginia he lived in Cambridge before marrying Mary B. Gault in 1856. Six children survived and funeral services were held at Slater cemetery.

She is survived by her husband and four children Agnes Ella May Herbert with Stanford in Monrovia Kis returning for the funeral. Her remains were taken to Nelson Missouri and buried in a cemetery near Blackburn Record note.

A 16 year old boy, grandson of Sam Evans, was stepped into a stall with two horses Tuesday evening. The horses were frightened, throwing and trampling him to the floor. Claude Evans rescued him. the boy climbed to the manger where Dr. John Hall diagnosed no broken bones. He remained bedridden for several days.
