Miss Tessie L Chaffee daughter of L S Chaffee of Kansas City died Saturday after an auto ride near Arrow Rock. The car plunged into a fifteen foot ditch killing her almost instantly. driver not blamed as it was an accident. Funeral held Monday at M B Church South with large attendance and convoy of mourners.

Mrs. Sarah C. Campbell died at her son Robt Campbell’s home on West Washington on Monday August 26 after an illness starting last winter. A faithful First Presbyterian member and widow at 33, she left six surviving children and faced hardship bravely. Born in Kentucky in 1843 she moved to Marshall 33 years ago with her children and is survived by several children in Kansas Texas and Alma. Dr W H Black held funeral services at the First Presbyterian church yesterday at 3 pm.

Death of Mabel Hamilton from chicken bone incident
A six year old girl, Mabel Hamilton of Blackwater, died Sunday at 5 p m after stepping on a chicken bone caused a wound that bled and led to blood poisoning and meningitis or tetanus. Her father, Thus H Hamilton, is heartbroken and confined at home. The burial was in Nelson cemetery on Monday evening.

Auto Accident Kills St Louis Man in Colorado Springs
William Bagooell of St Louis and brother Thomas Bagnell of the city, along with Robt Bagnell of Nelson, died after a car plunged from a trestle near Colorado Springs. The crash injured Mr Bagnell and others. William died Wednesday morning. Tom Bagnell and Mr Beck, in Marshall two weeks earlier with the party, were among the injured.
