Born to Cpl and Mrs. Robert McKean on June 4 a sister for Kevin Linda Barbara. Several from Miniota attended the Curl O held in Ham ida on Thursday June 8. Robert Bonner was one of the winners. Mr and Mrs P C Watts accompanied by Mrs. McDonald of Shaunovan Sask and Joe Poppell left Friday for The Pas to spend the weekend fishing.

Miniota Council Holds June 1967 General Meeting
The Municipal Council of Miniota Manitoba met June 6 1967 in the Municipal Hall. Minutes from May 1 were adopted. Tenders for road work were opened and councillors were assigned to review. Several by laws were read third time and passed. Budget and tax matters were approved and council adjourned to July 4 1967.

Isabella notes Mr. and Mrs. George Lawn left Friday for an Agricultural Society tour spending two weeks at Expo. Jack Dyrkacz earned a Bachelor of Education at Manitoba University graduation exercises. Mrs. J. T. Finkbeiner attends the F W LC National Convention in Guelph Ontario June 12 to 16, with sister Mrs. M. H. Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Finkbeiner completed the Teachers Training Course closing exercises at Brandon College on Saturday June 1. Mrs. W. Rockley is a patient in Hamiota Hospital.
