Wm Shattuck sold a driving horse to Dr Riley of Red Oak for 176. John Salmons traveled to visit his nephew Ivan near Ronestee Oak. Mr and Mrs Walter Short of Mitch elville visited with Chas Carr's family. M L Evans returned from Illinois with his son Jack for a visit. Mrs M L Evans and her children Edith Frank and Kenneth attended the Shattuck military school commencement at Faribault and brought two boys Marion and Volney home. The boys’ company ranked highly in drill. Rue Otis resigns as primary teacher. Hattie Leach of Red Oak elected to replace her. Anna Marvick of Villisca named Second intermediate. Faculty includes M C Galpin, Grace Hydeman, Fannie Potts, and Darle Warner.
