Five County Supervisors Proposal for County Vote
A petition filed with Auditor Criswell seeks a county election next November on increasing the Board of Supervisors to five. About 1200 names meet the one fourth requirement of roughly 1000 names from a 4000-strong qualified voter pool. If approved by voters, the change would take effect at the 1914 election, impacting salaries and district duties such as bridge crews. The Tribune notes cautious scrutiny and invites informed letters from readers, while stating the current board runs county business efficiently.
