TB Association Newsletter Volume 1 Number 1

The management committee planned a community newsletter for the executive council and interested locals. With time constraints, the executive secretary could not complete it, so the newsletter is being launched now. This marks Volume 1, Number 1 of the publication.

Women’s Auxiliary holds 35th conference in Harwood

The 35th Annual Conference of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Anglican Church in the Durham Northumberland Deanery met at St. John's Harwood on September 26 with over 125 delegates and clergymen from 19 communities including Bethany Bewdley Blackstock and Port Hope. Mrs Reginald Fallis was introduced as incoming Deanery President for two years.

Piggyback to Handle Common Carrier Trailers

Montreal Canada's two major railways have completed arrangements with a group of licensed for hire motor carriers to haul their trailers on railway flat cars between Montreal and Toronto. The piggyback system mixes truck flexibility at terminals with rail mass movement for common carrier trailers.
