At Peterborough Civic Hospital School of Nursing graduation on September 4 1957 Miss Sheila Sloan formerly of Millbrook and Fenelon Falls won a prize for first year high standing in examinations. The award was given by the board of governors and presented by Alderman W Gordon Powell, a former Millbrook resident. Her parents Mr and Mrs Allie Sloan attended.

Obituary of Mrs George C Ellsworth of Millbrook
Residents of Millbrook and area mourn the sudden death of Mrs George C Ellsworth at age 71 on Friday night October 4 1987. She collapsed near Bank Street while traveling with her husband to visit friends in King Street east. After medical help she died at home. She was born Kathrine Davis daughter of John and Mary Anne Widdis of Bethany and married in 1913. The Ellsworths lived in Peterborough Kinmount and Millbrook for 26 years. Surviving: husband George W son in Trenton daughter Helen Mrs Joseph Petre Port Hope two grandchildren and four brothers William Davis Bethany O H Davis St Catharines Charles Davis Peterborough Wilfred Davis Drumheller Alberta. Funeral October 7 at J W Haw Funeral Home conducted by Rev H Quinn Riverside Cemetery Lindsay. Pallbearers were Ross Morton Anson Morton Albert Porter Leonard Porter Jack Armstrong and Ivan Fallis.
