Lions Club Members Meet Amid Quiet Session
Lions Club members gathered with several absentees as Dr. C R Parrish announced the county education board hired F Earl Stott as music and history instructor for Milford high school next year. Stott, a Utah graduate with three summers at the same university, previously taught at Fillmore High. President Al Cline read an invitation from Mr Childs of Horn Silver to tour the Frisco mine with guides on hand. The group agreed to visit soon with no date set and pledged to support mining farming and local development. George Jefferson said the West road to Ely should soon be under government supervision and improvements are anticipated. M P Lewis noted EK S Carlton will attend the International Convention in Louisville on June 18 as Milford club delegate. luncheon at the U P dining room.

Milford Post of the American Legion plans a Fourth of July celebration beginning with children's games supervised by Ted Kronholm and Wm Graff, a 3 PM baseball game between the Lions Club and American Legion, a fireworks display to close the day, with Dr. Parrish as program committee chair and Clarence Grimshaw leading the fireworks effort.

Escape in Car Turns Over After Fatal Accident
Within an hour of the fatal crash that killed Lorrain Stahley on June 8 a car driven by Speed Evans of Salt Lake City for the Motor Car Equipment Co. rolled over twice after striking loose gravel near Manderfield. Evans his wife and three children suffered no injuries beyond flight shocks and after an hour rest in Braver the party resumed their trip toward Los Angeles.

Social Hour Club Meets at Club House Event
The Social Hour club gathered last Thursday afternoon at the club house with Mesdames Mobias, Hanchett in attendance. Plans for July’s annual picnic were discussed and house-cleaning arrangements completed for the next meeting. Members will meet at 1 o clock to clean the club house. The afternoon included Red Cross laundry work and a luncheon served on drawn work linens. Guests Mrs Maxwell and Mrs Peterson attended. Moscow Mines Report Strong Ore Shipment Progress
Seven high grade ore lots have shipped from the Moscow Silver Mines on the 1565 level with an eighth en route and a ninth loading. Lot 160 from the bedded deposit yielded about 21.45 ounces of silver per ton with 504 percent lead and 15.8 percent iron, netting $3000. Development on the horizon below will be simplified as formations dip toward the wing, and sinking on the 1100 is advancing rapidly toward unprospected territory.
