Bud James, commander, Milford American Legion Post, urges readers to donate discarded toys for needy children. A Beaver forest ranger reports that deer forage on the Beaver area winter ranges is markedly down from 1949 levels. Studies begun in 1949 by the Forest Service Utah Fish and Game Department and Beaver Wildlife Federation show twig growth on bitterbrush dropped from 3930 inches in 1949 to 741 inches in 1950, signaling an impending winter forage shortage due to dry seasons and heavy past use. Proper herd regulation and range management could mitigate shortages.
Tigers coach Nen led Milford to a 46 32 win over Hurricane with Clyde Turner scoring 21 points and Crane 11. The Tigers then lost 33 32 to Milord M Men before announcing a busy holiday slate including games against Lincoln High of Nevada and Dixie with multiple ticket dates and preliminary matchups.
The Social Hour Club of South Milford hosts its annual Christmas party on Thursday December 21 at 8 p m in the South Milford Clubhouse. Parents should bring 1 lb candy 1 lb nuts and a present for each child in their family delivered to Mrs Cassie McKnight by Wednesday.

Roy F. Cottrell to be installed as worshipful master of Albert Pike Lodge No. 14 F and A M in a Friday evening ceremony at the Masonic Hall. Past Master Ernest U'Ren will install. Joseph Wood of Minersville died Thursday December seventh in Milford Hospital at age 78. Funeral services were held Monday at the Minersville LDS Chapel with remarks by Jule Gillins and musical tributes, including quartets and solos, followed by burial in Minersville Cemetery.
Milford faces a scarletina epidemic per health officer Dr Eugene Davie who urges precautions. Two cases reported. many children exposed. Measures include home care for fever or rash and avoiding crowds to prevent further spread.

Roland Fowles underwent appendectomy. Mrs. Marie Fouts admitted for medical treatment.
Judge Koch hears cases from the past week. Luther Hardy fined 50 dollars with 25 dollars suspended for violating city ordinances. Fred Doerr charged with drunkenness forfeited 10 dollar bail. Fred Jiminez fined 2.50 dollars for traffic offense.
Milford High School presents a combined Band and Chorus concert on December 20 at 8 p m in the auditorium featuring Praetorius Mason Wagner and Meacham works plus Christmas carols and a pair of anthems. The following night December 21 the annual White Christmas formal costume dance with a floor show crowns a prince and princess from six couples.
