Milford Lions Club addressed fraud concerns raised by Joe E. Hanlon of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen. They debated reorganizing the Milford Business Men's Association within the Lions, and decided against it. A municipal Christmas tree plan was deferred unless placed in the business district. Colored street lighting will be installed by week's end. A Lions party is set for December 21 at the I. C. C. PF Hall. The Ladies' Bible Glass of the M church gathered Tuesday evening at the church with nineteen members present. Mrs Vena Wilson led the Life of Moses study while hostesses were Mrs Gadberry and Mrs Homer Root. Miss Harmorah Hutchins and Mrs Vivian Hunter visited Salt Lake City last weekend. Mrs George Tuggle returned Saturday from Los Angeles after a two week visit with her mother.

Banks of County Reach Agreement
A meeting of the county commissioners and County Attorney Harold Cline representing the State Bank of Milford and Abe Murdock for the State Bank of Beaver County resulted in a stipulation. Banks will pay 35 percent of the full tax computed by the county auditor for 1929. If a Supreme Court ruling upholds full assessment payments, the county would annul the stipulation.

Fire Alarm Blows House Burns in Southwest Town
A fire call went out early last Friday for a house in the southwest part of town. The blaze, fought by responders, gutted the residence occupied by a Mexican family and left it uninhabitable.
Milford High hoops fall to Parowan in practice tilt
