Prudence Ramsay Dies at 97 in Baker Nevada

Funeral services for Prudence Ramsay 97 a Garrison pioneer were held in Baker Nevada after dying Wednesday in Ely hospital following a lingering illness. She was born in Polluwat Juma New York and lived in Utah before moving to Baker two years ago. Survived by five sons five daughters two sisters and many grandchildren. Milford attendees included Clinton Bond Carl Goodwin and Ervin Bond.

Local Groups Honor Gold Star Mothers in Joint Party

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 18 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Escalante Post 1546 hosted a Gold Star Mothers event on Tuesday August 3 at 8 p.m. in the LDS Recreation Hall. Guests included 54 members with a program featuring national anthem prayers songs readings and performances and closing refreshments.
